Write me!

I’d love to know what you think/feel from reading my poetry. I’d love to know who you are and how you found me. I don’t just want to post poems into a world that doesn’t speak back. Write me, it’s only fair. I know you are out there.. Make contact.

  1. I absolutely love your poem ‘I dare you’, it was so lovely the way the words flowed and the descriptiveness and the humour! your an amazing writer. Also I found you off the youtube video ‘Thats what she said: perception and confidence’, because I was so captivated by your voice as you spoke! X

  2. I found you from a YouTube video…the ten things every woman should know! I’ve never commented on any blog before but your poems and words blew me away!

  3. I found you from Soul Pancake’s “That’s What She Said” video. It brought tears to my eyes. You are an inspiration. Finally I feel like a classy woman is out there writing exactly (yes! exactly) what I feel/experience and I feel so much less alone. You’ve inspired me to start writing my own version of poetry… none of which I’ve had the courage to show anyone yet, but someday.

    Love,
    Rach

  4. Hey Natalie! I just wanted to say that your words are uplifting and inspiring! Thank you for everything. You bring light to this world πŸ™‚ Big kiss

  5. Hey there! I really do love what you’ve written. They are so relatable and yet constructed in such beautiful words. I hope you know how much your writtings have comforted and made me feel not alone. So thank you! And I wish you nothing but the best in life. God bless πŸ™‚

  6. I love the way you play with words. I love that your poetry isnΒ΄t filled with complicated words, strange metaphors and that it is, instead, very down to earth and very relateable. I especially hold “Beautiful Body” and “10 things every female should know” – I even recite parts of them to myself in times where I feel ugly/worthless. I found you via SoulPancakes “ThatΒ΄s what she said” and was blown away by your words and the way you speak them.

    • Anne,
My hope is that I always write things people can relate to by using language and images people understand even if what I am seeking to say is very complex. I’m so glad my poems are useful. Use them until you no longer need reminding then create something for someone else to find themselves in.

  7. i want to write you but it’s hard to know what to say when your words have left me completely speechless.growing up,i’ve always found it hard to accept and love myself for who i am.from primary school into high school,i was always bullied.i was made to feel bad about who i was from strangers to ex boyfriends to even so called “friends.”
i was never taught to love myself and so i abused myself the way that others did.once i left high school,i started to get better in accepting myself, but i never fully did.i still haven’t.i’m turning nineteen this year,i’m what people would call over weight,i have too many freckles and my face is a canvas that’s been overused and turned into one big mess of flaws and imperfections.soulpancake is my favourite youtube channel by far.i saw you on the “what she said” series and your spoken word was my favourite part of every video.i got this feeling in my stuck that made me feel..well,as you said, magnificent.it left me in such a positive mood and i fell in love with your words and personality.growing up,i thought i wanted to be pretty and skinny.but now i know i want to be like you.happy in my own skin and loving every ounce of my being.
i honestly can’t thank you enough for the positivity and happiness your words have brought me.if you don’t mind,i would love to write a few of your poems(credited to you ofcourse)in my journals so i never forget it on a bad day.
    thankyou,thankyou,thankyou,

Youve inspired and motovated me in seconds. Today, I stand at such pivotal point in my life. No better timing than to have come across your poetry and blog.

  11. I found your work through the soulpancake youtube channel and I have since read so much of your work and watched your Raw series on youtube. Each of your poems is so honest and visceral, something I always strive for in my own poetry. I want to feel always free in my own verses and words and you capture that idea so well. Reading your poetry feels a little like stumbling onto someone’s diary, so personal and real. I’ve been really inspired by your poetry and cannot wait to follow your work.

  14. Natalie,
Let me tell you that you’re poetry has inspired me in so many ways. I feel like you wrote you’re poem “I Dare You” just for me. I was not always confident enough to speak the words the way I felt them. And my silence did not suffocate any pain. I broke out of that shell by writing both songs and poetry. I feel like I can use this poem as a way to encourage other people. I printed out about 20 copies, highlighted certain parts of this poem and wrote notes on the back to anyone who I thought needed to hear it. When I first heard it, it was perfect. You’re poems and poetry in general have changed my life. Thank you for all you do in encouragement. I first heard of you watching from Soul Pancake and anytime I find another one of you’re performances it makes my day. The first one I watched was on the “Beauty and Body Image” one

  15. Hi I’m from Australia and like many others I came across you on the SoulPancake videos. The way you read the ‘I have a Beautiful Body’ poem was just so touching and your ability not only to write words but to say them is incredible. You have a true gift. After watching the videos I sat down to right some of my own poems, trying to be like you and do what you do. I don’t know if I’ll ever master the skill but you have, so keep up the fabulous work!

  16. Like most people, I found you from Soul Pancake videos. I have a huge passion for spoken word poetry and poetry in general. Your words nearly brought me to tears and I was speechless. It’s like 3 am and I’ve been sitting in my bed reading your words for the past half hour. I have just fallen in love with the way you show your own journey through words. Some of your poems evoked emotions and thoughts in me that I was totally unaware of. I am blessed to have witnessed your talents. Thank you for sharing them with the world.

    • How wonderful. Thank you for being on the adventure of my words. Thank you for reading and loving. Make sure to check out my website nataliespoetry.com I have some cool collections of work you might enjoy.

  17. I’m from India and I was watching “That’s what she said” and then your poem in the end, it was just so inspiring, I couldn’t wait to listen to it more. So, I found your blog and have been reading your poems since then. xx

  18. I heard your poem “Beautiful Body” in the “That’s What She Said” video. I was wondering if there is anyplace I could find a printed copy? I would love to frame it and place it somewhere I can read it everyday! I can’t wait to read more of your poems, so I will end this short note so I can! Thanks for sharing your beautiful thoughts! ❀
