  1. Hey Natalie,

I was in LA for a little bit and I got to come by da poetry lounge a few times and the last time I went, I performed and I’ve never done that before..half the people i know don’t even know I write but I wanted to say thank you for putting on such a welcoming and fun environment where shy and timid individuals like myself can gain the confidence to go up on stage. Now that I’m back home in SD, I’ve actually been going to more poetry lounges and sharing what I have to write. So thank you! And your poetry is beautiful by the way, they inspire me.

  2. natalie – your poetry is touching and beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing it. I would like to share some of the stanzas of Stitched Language no my facebook wall (giving you credit of course and sharing the link to your site) just wanted to make sure that was ok with you.

  3. Hey Natalie,
I was watching one of soul pancake’s videos and saw you feature in it, “I Dare You’?
A friend and I have just started a movement in Tanzania where we are trying to get people to speak up, share their thoughts the way you are able to so confidently. You are an inspiration. Thank you!

    Love from Tanzania,

    Liah J

      • I could perhaps email you what the movement is about, and maybe you could give me some feedback or ideas?

But yes, your work has reached us here in Tanzania, and Kenya -shared your work with friends there- you’re an inspiration to writers everywhere.

  4. You’re words are like the feeling of satin fabric touching tge soul. A feeling of goodness and appreciation. Your work makes me want to grow, higher taller than any weeping willow. Thank you beautiful sister i have never met. Thank you

  5. I am a teenage girl. I am expected to be perfect by imperfect people. Your poems make me feel so good, so invincible. Your poems reassure me that I am important, I am loved, and that most importantly, I am beautiful. Ive had people tell me “youre pretty”, “youd be better looking if..” and now I see myself in a different light. I now have the courage to say ” hell yeah I’m beautiful.” I want to thank you for writing poetry. For being an artist. For helping me to stay true to myself. I often refer to your poems when I feel put down, then I automatically feel powerful. This body is a gift, the only one I’m gonna have, and you helped me realize that. I am smart, beautiful, and loved. I am grateful for you, and to you. Thank you.

  6. Natalie, Natalie, Natalie,
Your work is exquisite and unbelievably empowering. I was introduced to you by the SoulPancake videos. I was shocked at how you completely understood me. I myself have just started writing poetry very recently and you are an inspiration and an AMAZING role model. You are specatular person with a beautiful mind. I wish I could just talk to you and pick apart your brain. KEEP GOING GIRL and DO NOT EVER STOP. You. Are. Magnificent.
Thank you for the beautiful words.
    Much love,
    Lilly xoxo

  7. Dear Natalie,
Oh How beautiful your soul is, your words spake to young woman like me
As though we have been blessed with rain in the dessert. When you simply utter those precious bountiful words my body tingles of absolutely joy. Many can testify that you are a lioness in this place that we call life.
Thank you for the unconditional love you have for humanity.
    Much love from Australia
    Serkie 🙂

  8. Natalie, I am truly speechless.
Your beautiful words have touched my in the most inspiring way and all I can do is thank you for changing my perceptions on this ever judging, ever critiquing society. My once negative interpretation of myself and others has been turned around into one of power and recognition that beauty should be a source of confidence and not anxiety. Natalie, you are beautiful – thank you.

  9. Natalie, you have a beautiful and amazing way with words. I’m not really a huge fan of contemporary poetry (I’m really into works from the 18th and 19th century) but your work is an exception. ‘Without Fail’ is one of my favorites …not just because of how beautifully it is written but because how relatable it is as well. I’ll definitely continue following your work and wish you the best. Thanks for sharing your work with us.

  10. Hi Natalie,
I was just sent a link to one of the soul pancake clips ‘that’s what she said’ about age and dying and your poem at the end blew me away. Your words, energy, intention and passion behind your spoken word moved me to tears. I had been in a dark place for some time and your poem was like the earthquake that shocked me out of it. It made me remember how grateful I am to be alive. I’ve since listen to all your other poems I could find and would love to have them on an mp3 or something. Are you planning on writing a book?
I am grateful for people like you in this world. Never forget that you affect people, you affected me and I am in a different country.
Thank you, deep bow and please don’t stop sharing your gift to the world.
    Peace, love and light

  11. I was entertaining myself by watching random videos. I stumbled onto a soulpancake video shared by a dear old friend. & then, i heard you reading ‘you have a beautiful body’ poem. Believe me, it has been ages since i heard something that would touch my soul in the most exquisite manner, give me slight heartburn and bring tears to my eyes. Your words made me feel like there’s more to live for, that my fire still exists, it will never be perished by people or by myself.
Serendipity, my friend, thats how i met you! 🙂
Thank you for your existence, for your grace and your words. You are my favourite poet now.

  12. Hi Natalie,

I saw your video on SoulPancake, ‘That’s What She Said: Perception and Confidence.” Thank you for your words and inspiration. I created my own blog to release my own perceptions and confidence.

    Forever grateful,

  14. Bonjour Natalie! I just watched/heard two of your poems through Soul Pancake and I just wanted to say thank you. Your words were so beautiful they brought me to tears and I cannot wait to discover more of what you have to offer to the world! Thank you so much!

  15. Hi Natalie,
I am one of the girls from the I AM THAT GIRL retreat that you attended.
I just wanted to say thank you. You allowed me to be brave enough to share my own story. I spoke words that I vowed to never tell anyone, and, in doing so, they no longer have power over me.
You helped me gain a love and respect for my body again.
I will forever be grateful and inspired by your vulnerability and sunshine of a soul.

    Thank you.
    Hannah Lee
